Embroidery Digitizing - for all - Lesson 1

Hello,

At the desire of users of my site I have decided to write a number of articles about digitizing (creation of machine embroidery by means of the software). All that I will write (I hope) in no means doesn’t claim on what that absolute management or the instruction. It only attempts to generalize my personal experience in creation of machine embroidery. I will try not to become attached to any of programs that the majority of users have found advantage in that is written. I will be glad, if someone adds here the comments or will place the conclusions or experience.

Beginning.
I will begin with simple councils.
1. Do not hurry up! Be trained slowly and persistently. It is better to spend every day on an hour or two for studying of programs, than once a month jerky to try to learn and master all program.
2. Raise complexity gradually. Many beginners of digitizing ruins desire to make at once something outstanding. Lift complexity of works gradually, putting into operation all new tools and possibilities.
3. Do not expect for the program. You always should understand that the program does. Unfortunately programs are not perfect and sometimes do errors (I will tell about them) which should be corrected manually.
4. Get a work diary; write down there the data on use of those or other tools, the data (for example, density changes covering). It is important.
5. Get convenient toolkit. Unfortunately, the mouse is badly suitable tool for digitizing. It long moves on a table, and has problems with positioning. I recommend to buy an inexpensive tablet (an order to 100$) - I use Wacom. Take only that tablet where there is no wire to a feather.
machine embroidery plantIt’s is easier usual sheet of a plant. Really, like anything difficult, one - maximum of 3-4 colors. And nevertheless, this often encountered element causes a number of complexities. And on its example it is possible to explain a number of details.

Let's begin with the form:
1. Depending on the size the given sheet can be divided into some parts or not to divide in general. Why  depending on the size. Because only the big size realizations it will be visible of those receptions which we will describe more low.
2. Variant 1. If the size small it is possible to make its single whole in general. Here there are two ways - with one direction, usually are across long or two and more.If the size small it is possible to make its single whole in general Remember that, smooth change a direction of stitches will be visible only at their enough.2 ways stitches directions If stitches are all about ten you will not see effect of a bend, and it is not necessary to spend for this time.

3. Variant 2. Parceling out on two parts along the axial. Very popular method in a combination to addition - effect of change covers directions of stitches. It looks remarkably at averages and the big sizes of embroidery.2 parts machine embtoidery
